Location and Daily Travel

Vasavi is inside the city at Ibrahimbagh, near Langar Houz and Golconda, so it is easy to reach for students living in most parts of Hyderabad. CVR is at Ibrahimpatnam on the Nagarjuna Sagar highway, outside the city. Most CVR students use college buses, which run long routes, so check the bus timing from your area before choosing.

Vasavi or CVR: How to Decide

1. Rank below about 2,500 (OC): Vasavi CSE or AI & ML is realistic.
2. Rank 2,500–5,000: look at Vasavi IT, and compare with other top colleges. See CBIT vs VNR VJIET and GRIET vs MGIT.
3. Rank 5,000–9,000: CVR's computer branches are realistic; Vasavi ECE is possible up to about 6,200. Also see our list of CSE colleges for ranks 5,000 to 15,000.
4. Think about travel: four years of a long bus ride to Ibrahimpatnam is a real cost if you live in the north or west of the city.
5. Fill many options: never fill only two colleges in web counselling.
