1. Eligibility
By using the Platform you represent that you are competent to enter into a binding contract under Indian laws; if under 18 you will use the Platform under supervision of a parent or guardian; you are not using the Platform for any unlawful or prohibited purpose; and you are not purchasing or using our services for resale without our prior written consent.
2. Registration & Account
You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information, keep login credentials confidential, take responsibility for all activities under your account, and notify us at info@collegedost.com if you suspect unauthorised access. We and our partners may contact you via email, phone, SMS, or WhatsApp in connection with your use of the Platform; you may update communication preferences in your account settings.
3. Purpose of the Platform
CollegeDost is designed to help students discover, research, and shortlist colleges, courses, and exams. Your contact information may be shared with colleges or institutions when you express interest, shortlist, or submit an application through our Platform. All use must be in accordance with this stated purpose.
4. Permitted & Prohibited Use
You agree to use the Platform only for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes. You must not: copy, scrape, or extract content or data without our written consent; use bots or automated software; reverse engineer or attempt to gain unauthorised access; impersonate others or post false, defamatory, or unlawful content; upload viruses or use the Platform for spam or commercial solicitation; frame or embed the Platform on external sites without permission.
5. Content on the Platform
We provide information about colleges, courses, exams, and rankings from publicly available data and submissions. We do not guarantee that all information is complete or current; fees, cutoffs, and seat availability are subject to change — always verify with the institution. Rankings are for reference; "Top" or "Trending" are based on user activity and algorithms and do not constitute an endorsement.
6. Disclaimer of Warranty & Limitation of Liability
The Platform is provided "as is". We disclaim warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. Our liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the relevant product or service. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CollegeDost and its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
8. Termination
CollegeDost reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or unlawful activity, or act inconsistently with the spirit of these Terms.
9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall first be resolved amicably; if unresolved, they shall be referred to a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The place of arbitration shall be India. Exclusive jurisdiction for legal proceedings shall vest in the competent courts of India.
10. Modifications
We may update these Terms at any time without prior notice. Changes are effective upon posting. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
