A TS EAPCET (TG EAPCET) rank between 5,000 and 15,000 is a good rank. You will not get CBIT, VNR VJIET or Vasavi for CSE (those close much earlier), but you still have many solid options in and around Hyderabad.

This page lists the colleges where B.Tech CSE (Computer Science and Engineering) closed between ranks 5,000 and 15,000 in the 2025 final phase of counselling. All numbers come from the official last rank statement published on the TG EAPCET counselling website.

How to read this page: A "closing rank" is the last rank that got a seat. If a college's CSE closed at 9,000, a student with rank 9,000 got the last seat; a student with rank 9,100 did not. Closing ranks change every year by a few hundred or even a few thousand, so always keep backup options.

CSE Closing Ranks Between 5,000 and 15,000 (TG EAPCET 2025, Final Phase)

The table is sorted from the lowest rank (hardest to get) to the highest. "OC" means open category. "Boys" and "Girls" are the two columns printed in the official statement. Colleges marked (Women) admit only girls, so only the Girls column applies.

Rank Band by Rank Band: What Is Realistic?

Rank 5,000 to 7,500

In 2025, CSE at KMIT, GNITS (girls), CVR and MGIT closed in or near this band. If you are in this range, also look at the AI & ML (CSM) and Data Science (CSD) branches at GRIET and MGIT, which closed between about 4,600 and 7,800. See the GRIET and MGIT college pages, and our GRIET vs MGIT comparison article, for branch-wise ranks.

Rank 7,500 to 10,000

BVRIT Narsapur, Vardhaman, BVRIT for Women (girls) and MVSR closed CSE in this band. Vardhaman (Shamshabad) and MVSR (Nadergul) are both on the southern side of Hyderabad, so they suit students living in that direction.

Rank 10,000 to 12,500

Sreenidhi, JNTUH Sultanpur, IARE, Anurag University and Neil Gogte closed CSE in this band. JNTUH Sultanpur is a university college, so it is worth a look if you want a government-run campus.

Rank 12,500 to 15,000

JNTUH Jagtial, Geethanjali, CMR College of Engineering and Technology and Bhoj Reddy Women's College (girls) closed CSE here. Students in this range should also consider CSE-related branches (CSM, CSD, IT) at the colleges listed in the higher bands, because those sometimes close later than core CSE.

Smart Tips for Web Options

  1. Fill 40 to 60 options, not 10. Counselling gives you the best seat available from your list, in order. A long, well-ordered list protects you.
  2. Put dream colleges first, safe colleges last. Put colleges that closed a little before your rank at the top (you might still get lucky), then colleges that closed after your rank.
  3. Think about the branch. If you are open to AI & ML, Data Science or IT, add those branches too. They give you more chances at good colleges.
  4. Check the fee and travel time. Private college tuition fees in Telangana for 2025-28 range from ₹45,000 to ₹1,83,000 a year. Add transport and hostel costs.
  5. Use your category column. If you are BC, SC, ST or EWS, look at your own category column in the official PDF. Your realistic list may be much longer than the OC list above.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I get CSE with a TS EAPCET rank of 10,000?

Yes, based on 2025 data. CSE at Sreenidhi (10,543), JNTUH Sultanpur (10,849), IARE (11,562), Anurag University (11,593) and several others closed after rank 10,000 for OC Boys in the final phase. Ranks change each year, so keep backups.

2. Which colleges give CSE for a TS EAPCET rank around 8,000?

In the 2025 final phase, CSE closed at 8,939 at Vardhaman College of Engineering, 9,118 at MVSR Engineering College and 7,680 at BVRIT Narsapur (OC Boys). Girls can also consider BVRIT College of Engineering for Women (9,064).

3. Can I get CBIT, VNR or Vasavi CSE with a rank of 5,000?

Based on 2025 data, it is unlikely in the OC category. CSE at VNR VJIET closed at 1,652, CBIT at 2,053 and Vasavi at 2,292 (OC Boys, final phase). Reserved-category students should check their own category column.

4. Are these 2026 cutoff ranks?

No. These are the 2025 final-phase closing ranks, which is the latest last-rank statement available on the TG EAPCET counselling website. We will update this page when a newer official statement is published.

5. What is the difference between the "Boys" and "Girls" columns?

The official statement prints two closing ranks for every category: one in the "Boys" column and one in the "Girls" column. Women's colleges show "NA" in the Boys column. Girls should check both columns for a college, and confirm the seat rules in the official counselling notification before filling options.
