The full form of TSLAWCET is Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test. It was established following the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and is regulated by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).

Over the years, TSLAWCET has evolved from a paper-pencil based test to a fully digitized Computer Based Test (CBT). The number of applicants has seen a steady rise, reflecting the growing interest in legal professions. In recent years, the exam has maintained a consistent difficulty level, focusing more on analytical skills and legal reasoning rather than rote memorization.

Eligibility criteria for TSLAWCET 2026 are as follows:

• For 3-Year LLB: Candidates must have a Graduate degree (10+2+3 pattern) from a recognized university with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST, 42% for OBC).
