Karnataka SSLC Exam 2026

The Karnataka SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) exam is the Class 10 board exam conducted by the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB). It is a school board exam, not an entrance test, and it is not conducted by NTA.

KSEAB released the tentative 2027 timetable on 9 October 2026. The final timetable is expected later. Check kseab.karnataka.gov.in before the exams.

Timings: 10:00 AM to 1:15 PM for first language and core subjects; 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM for second and third languages. Exam 2 is tentatively scheduled for 24–31 May 2027, and Exam 3 is expected in July 2027.

SSLC is the Class 10 public examination for students in Karnataka state board schools. Passing it lets students move on to Pre-University Course (PUC, Class 11–12), diploma (polytechnic) or vocational courses. KSEAB holds three exams a year, so students can improve their marks or clear subjects they missed.

• Regular students studying in Class 10 at a school recognised by the Karnataka state board, registered by their school.
• Private and repeater candidates who register through the board's process.
• Schools register students on the board portal. For 2027 Exam 1, school registration was open until 11 November 2026, as reported.

The total is 625 marks. The first language carries 125 marks; the second language, third language, Mathematics, Science and Social Science carry 100 marks each, including internal assessment.

As reported for the current scheme, students need 33% overall (206 out of 625) and at least 30% in each subject to pass. Confirm the current rule in the KSEAB notification.

Hall tickets are downloaded by schools from the board portal and given to students. Results are published on kseab.karnataka.gov.in and karresults.nic.in, usually a few weeks after Exam 1.
