How CollegeDost checks its information
Last updated: 4 November 2026
Students make big decisions from what they read here, so we follow these rules on every exam, college and article page.
Where our facts come from
- Exam dates, fees and patterns come from the official exam body: NTA for JEE Main, NEET and CUET; the IIMs for CAT; TGCHE for TS EAPCET and TS ICET; APSCHE for AP EAPCET; and so on.
- Cutoffs and closing ranks come from official last-rank statements or seat allotment results published by the counselling authority (JoSAA, MCC, TGEAPCET, APEAPCET and others). We always say which year and which round.
- College fees, courses and placements come from the college's own website, prospectus or official placement report, with the year.
- We never copy facts from other education portals.
When something isn't official yet
If a date or fee has not been announced, we mark it "expected" and explain what it is based on, usually last year's schedule. We replace it as soon as the official notice comes out.
Dates and updates
Every page shows when it was last updated. Exam pages are checked again whenever the exam body publishes a new notice.
Who writes and checks our pages
Pages are written by the CollegeDost Editorial Team and reviewed by Shivaji, our founder and admission counsellor. We use AI tools to help draft and organise some pages. A person checks every fact against the official source before it is published.
