NIMCET 2026: NIT Jamshedpur Opens Application Correction Window; Exam on June 7

This is a one-time opportunity, and no further changes will be allowed once this window closes.

The eligibility criteria for 2026 require candidates to have a B.Sc., B.Sc. (Hons), BCA, or BIT degree with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) or a B.E./B.Tech degree from a recognized university. Candidates who are appearing for their final year examinations are also eligible to apply, provided they can produce proof of their eligibility at the time of counseling in July. The counseling process for NIMCET is centralized and involves multiple rounds of seat allotment followed by physical reporting at the allotted institute.
NIT Jamshedpur has also released a set of sample papers and a detailed syllabus on the NIMCET website to assist students in their preparation. Aspirants are encouraged to focus on topics like Set Theory, Probability, and Calculus, which have historically dominated the Mathematics section.
