The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the results for the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 examinations today, March 15, 2026. This announcement brings an end to the anxious wait of over 9.5 lakh engineering aspirants who appeared for the computer-based test conducted in late February and early March. Along with the results, the NTA has also released the final answer keys and the list of toppers who secured a perfect 100 percentile score. This year, 45 students have achieved the 100 percentile mark, showing a highly competitive landscape for the current academic session.

The qualifying cut-off for the JEE Advanced 2026 has also been released. For the General category, the cut-off percentile has seen a marginal increase from the previous year, settling at 91.23. The cut-offs for OBC-NCL, SC, and ST categories have also been adjusted according to the performance density of the candidates. Experts suggest that the increase in the number of applicants and the overall difficulty level of the Session 2 papers contributed to this shift in the qualifying marks required to sit for the IIT entrance exam.

Candidates can now download their scorecards from the official NTA website by using their application number and date of birth. The scorecard includes the candidate's NTA score for each subject—Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics—along with the total score and the All India Rank (AIR). The NTA has clarified that for candidates who appeared in both Session 1 and Session 2, the best of the two NTA scores has been considered for the final ranking and eligibility for JEE Advanced.

Registration for JEE Advanced 2026 is scheduled to begin on April 20, 2026. The top 2,50,000 qualifiers from the JEE Main exam are eligible to apply for the prestigious entrance test for the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Dr. Vineet Joshi, a senior official at the NTA, stated that the examination process was conducted smoothly across 500 cities in India and 15 cities abroad, with enhanced security measures including AI-based biometric verification to prevent any instances of malpractice.

Students are advised to verify all details on their scorecards immediately. In case of any discrepancy in the candidate's name, category, or photograph, they should reach out to the NTA helpdesk before March 20. As the focus now shifts to JEE Advanced and various state-level engineering counselling processes, career counselors recommend that students start evaluating their options based on their ranks, including NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs).
